The ensemble is participating with three different projects among which are  the music- and multimedia production 'Stories from the North' which opened The Northern Lights Festival in Tromso, Norway this January, and a project together with Mahler Chamber Orchestra and the Danish jazz mucisian Palle Mikkelborg.

Vokal Nord vocal ensemble presents J. S. Bach's Mass in B-Minor w/German soloists and Concerto Farinelli in Målselv, Nordreisa and Tromso, Norway

  • A marvelling success. Ragnar Rasmussen, Vokal Nord vocal ensemble and Concerto Farinelli came, played and conquered the hearts of everyone present in Målselv, Nordreisa and Tromsø March 16.-18.

    '...arctic choir sound...instrumental orchestra sound from the 1700 century... The time stood almost still for two hours. The experience of tranquility, of meditative calm and concentration, was overwhelming. ... Johann Sebastian did never have the chance to listen to this monumental piece himself. If he had been present in the Målselv church ... he would have recognised that his master piece fulfil all his promises.' (Ivar Jarle Eliassen, Troms folkeblad 19.03.07)
